Meet vs. Dublin, Mt. Diablo RESULTS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE Frosh Soph Scrap together Wins; Pulford's 4:32 Leads Impressive Day for Distance Crew to Down Dublin, MD Literally exhausting their options, the frosh soph girls' squad put every available able body to work at Wednesday's league opener. Grueling quadruple performances from the likes of 3200m, high jump, and 1600 Relay winner Nathalie Lambrecht (10), and double hurdle winner Claire Laurence (11) helped the depleted defending league champions keep their hopes alive for a repeat. Also scoring big, Eva Isaacs (10) earned first place points in both throwing events! Hosting Dublin's amazing distance duo didn't phase Robert Pulford (09) as he surged to the lead in the third lap of the varsity boys 1600m and held on for a 4:32.0 finish that crushed his previous best by over ten seconds! Also earning a new career mark, Michael Brondello (09) closed well to place second. Riding a fortuitous tailwind, Daniel Murray (08) topped both the 100m and 200m varsity boys fields while Andrew Wang (10) continued his bid for MVP honors with victories in three individual events. John Rhoda (09) helped to fend off a spirited Mt. Diablo rally by winning the varsity boys shot put. And Rhoda's quick thinking also helped his frosh soph teammates seal their own team victory by bringing the unclaimed third place points to the attention of the coaches. Moments later, distance runner Miles Lindheimer (11) heaved the iron 24 feet to fill the void.
