Huberts, Keeble Lead Youngsters to Third Straight Win; Isaacs, Pulford Land All-Time Marks in Tough Varsity Battles

Hurdle prodigies Alyssa Huberts (10) and Matt Keeble (10) enjoyed a day down amongst the frosh soph ranks, each amassing victories in four individual events to help the frosh soph squads remain undefeated. In addition to hurdle and 100m sprint wins, Huberts picked up a triple jump personal best while keeble soared 5-6 in high jump.

Supporting the supper duo, Rachel Faoro (11) turned in a league leading 12:25 for the 3200m, Emily Brennan (10) picked up a personal best in the 1600m, and Michelle Dokos (10) launched the disc 82-7 to improve her mark by over ten feet!

Junggi Min's (11) first 1600m attempt was a fantastic 5:07.1 while Logan Coe (11) was runner up in the 3200m with a 15 second improvement.

In the varsity ranks Eva Isaacs (10) and Robert Pulford (09) jumped onto the record boards. Isaacs' discus toss of 98-7 now ranks her 8th All-Time. Pulford, facing off against state championship veteran Greg Drosky, executed a near flawless race plan to reach the number ten spot.

Other highlights included Melinda Hickey's (09) spring over 4-10 in high jump, Brayton Noll's six-inch improvement to win the pole vault, and Katie Schulenberger's blistering return to the 400m in 62.6 to fend off Las Lomas' vaunted stable of quarter mile specialists.

The race of the day, however, belonged once again to the boys' distance squad, with 4:25, 4:29 and 4:30 clockings for Garret Holmes (09), Ross Geiger (09), and Colby Pines (09) in the 1600m. Vying for coveted spots on relays headed to the prestigious Stanford and Mt. SAC invitationals, many of the Cougars' distance elite were in top form.
