Five Break Ten in Boys' 3200m; Roth Racks up a Minute in Personal Bests at Dan Gabor Friday Night Festivities

Aaron Roth (09) began the evening with a spirited challenge of the five minute barrier in his heat of the 1600m, finishing in 5:01.4ce to knock 26 seconds off his previous best. Then it was on to the eight lap affair, where the senior came up a tenth of a second short of the eleven minute mark to improve by 30 seconds!

Veteran distance teammates dominated the final heat of the 3200m, with five under the ten minute mark, lead by Robert Pulford (09) and Colby Pines (09).

Olivia Warren (10) highlighted the girls' evening events with a 2:23.8ce finish in the 800m, while Kaelyn Caspillo (10) discovered her own affinity for the two-lapper by crushing her heat in 2:36.7ce.

The Cougars followed up the exciting evening of distance events with strong early season performances in the Saturday sprint festival. Garret Holmes (09) collected a pair of sub 53 second 400m efforts on the day, the second anchoring the varsity boys to a respectable 3:35.7ce finish in the 1600m relay
