Isaacs Flings Platter to School Record 136 Feet; Orders Churns Out 10:44.7ce Finish in 3200m to Crack Top Ten!

On her first throw in the preliminary round of competition at the 2010 California state championships, veteran Eva Isaacs (10) launched the platter nearly twelve feet beyond her previous best, outdistancing the rest of the NCS participants and setting a new Campolindo school record. The 136-8 mark was tops in her flight, and held up for an 11th place finish against the state's best.

Saturday evening's 3200m finals provided Grace Orders (11) just the right mix of pressure and excitement, along with relatively milder temperatures compared to the afternoon heat and humidity. The state meet veteran used a cooperative field to split 5:20 at the mile mark before picking off several competitors in the final half of the race. Orders crossed the line in 10:44.7ce, good for 9th place and just two seconds off the school record!
