Kalish Soars to School Record Vault; DelValle, Nelson, Isaacs, 1600 Relays Move up All-Time Lists at Phillips-McCain

Setting three consecutive personal bests, Alex Kalish (10) finished the day all alone at the top of the Campolindo school record board with a clearance of fourteen feet, eight inches in the varsity boys' pole vault. The mark overtakes the previous record, set in 1982 by rock climbing enthusiast Hans Florine.

Also improving in the vault, and winning the frosh soph boys' competition, Andres DelValle (12) now resides at eight All-Time with a mark of 13-0. Campolindo's vaulting prowess was further underscored by Gail Wilson's (12) eight foot victory over the frosh girls' soph field.

Eva Isaacs (10) continued her recent improvement in the discus with a winning mark of 123-6 that puts her second on the All-Time list. On the track, Meghan Nelson (11) continued her solid week with a new personal best in the 300 hurdles, moving to fourth on the record board.

Wrapping up the parade of powerful performances, the varsity girls' and boys' 1600 relay squads each moved into the top ten. New PR's from Carrie Verdon (12) and Grace Orders (11) helped their team finish in 4:10.18 while sub 51 second splits from Patrick Trotter (10) and Matt Keeble (10) propelled the boys' to the fifth best mark in school history.

Other highlights included a new career best in the 300 hurdles for Darren Brodowy (12), a giant improvement in the shot put for Amir Hakimjavadi (12), Juliet Farnan's (12) twenty second PR vicotry in the 3200m, and Gaby Gyko's (13) fourteen foot winning long jump.
