Joyce Clocks 9:18 for 3200m at Arcadia Taking advantage of the Arcadia Invitational 3200m "magic," Thomas Joyce (12) followed his opening mile split of 4:39 in the eight-lap race with descending quarter splits of 71, 71, 70 and 66, to claim the third fastest time in school history. The 9:18.06 is also good enough for #2 on the NCS leader board. Meanwhile, Carrie Verdon (12) tested her mettle in the full mile, leading much of the "seeded" race before finishing 4th in 5:01.08.
