| DAL Meet vs. Acalanes RESULTS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE Dons Hand Varsity Girls 1st DAL Loss; Frosh Soph Squads Dominate Acalanes The Campolindo varsity girls' squad battled down to the wire, but Acalanes clinched the team victory at Wednesday's dual meet on their home track by out-running the Cougars in the final event of the day. The Dons reached the magic number by winning the 1600 relay in 4:14.03. The Cougars were disqualified in the event after passing outside the zone in the 1st exchange. One bright spot for the varsity girls was the 49.84 time posted by the 400 relay, which moves the team into a tie for the 2nd spot on the school record board. Meanwhile, the frosh soph squads each enjoyed healthy wins, with the boys amassing 90 points and the girls just behind with 80 points. The team triumph was particularly sweet for the frosh soph girls' squad, which was comprised of just a handful of athletes. Claudia Cruse (22) dominated the sprint and jump events, Kyrstin Wilson (22) won the 400m and both hurdle races, and Sydney Roberts (21) and Gracie Woidat (21) teamed up to score 18 points in the distance events. The girls' youngsters were also buoyed by Jeanette Lavoie's (22) pole vault win and a discus win from Amelia Asuncion (21).
