Summer Wraps with Point Reyes Trail Run
31 athletes traveled to the Point Reyes National Seashore for an epic wilderness running adventure on the final Saturday before the official fall season start.
Half of the group enjoyed the shady Bear Valley Creek Trail, a four mile trek from the inland staging area to the ocean side cliffs. The other half ventured into the hills, climbing atop Mt. Wittenberg before descending on the Sky Trail. The higher elevation offered spectacular views of Drakes Bay as blue skies and mild temperatures made for outstanding conditions.
Following the run, athletes refueled in Point Reyes Station before testing the waters at Heart's Desire Beach on Tomales Bay.
