2-Mile Time Trials Reveal Rookie Talent After just 2 and a half weeks of in-person training, the newest additions to the Campolindo cross country program are already showing plenty of improvement. Running in their respective training groups, 42 athletes rolled through the Hidden Valley Park 2-mile course in the 1st time trial event of the summer on Thursday morning, July 2. Sophomore veteran Alex Lodewick (23) topped the list of performances with the only sub-11 minute effort. He was trailed by fellow varsity team veterans Owen Lekki (21) and Rhys Pullen (22), who finished in 11:04 and 11:14, respectively. The best mark by a rookie boy came from Alex Canales (23), who won the Group B race in 13:14. Also in the race was the top girls' newcomer, Makena Weberski (24), who crossed the finish line in 14:05.
