HSU Running Camp Returns as 19 Campolindo Harriers Train on Spectacular Trails and Learn from Elite Coaches After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid pandemic, the HSU Distance Running Camp returned to the Cal Poly Humboldt campus in Arcata, California for a week-long intensive experience for athletes and coaches. Campers enjoyed training on some of the most spectacular trails in the world, including those along the cliffs above the Pacific Ocean in Sue-Meg State Park and the legendary Tall Trees Trail along Redwood Creek. Olympic silver medalist Leo Manzano provided two nights of inspirational guidance for emerging cross country and track competitors. Additional expert instruction came from John McKenzie of TCU, as well as top high school coaches like Chris Williams of Dublin and Robert and Liz Grove of Vista del Lago. |
