Bayuk, Keeble Lead Boys to Huge Championship Victory; Huberts, Dokos Earn Titles in Girls' Runner-Up Finish

Claiming individual victories in both the 800m and triple jump, as well as leaping to third place in the long jump and leading off the league champion 1600 relay squad, Max Bayuk (10) hardly had time to enjoy the impressive clinic on motivation and teamwork he and his teammates were providing at Tuesday's DFAL Frosh Soph Championships.

The focus paid off as the impressive future of Campolindo track & field routed the rest of the league's young talent with wins in ten of sixteen events! The Cougar boys squad amassed 159 points, more than the second and third place teams combined!

Leading the charge was Matt Keeble (10), piling up 40 points with first place finishes in long jump, the 100m and both hurdle races. Steven Maurer (10), Alex Kalish (10 ) and Patrick Trotter (10) also came away winners in their respective events.

For the girls, it was stalwart sophomore Alyssa Huberts (10) and throwing specialist Michele Dokos (10) that kept their team in the title hunt to the waning moments of the meet. The valiant efforts of the eleven member squad managed a runner-up finish over College Park to avenge the regular season dual meet loss to the rival Falcons.
