Frosh Soph Championships RESULTS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE Decrescenzo Wins Three Events, Hathaway Scores 28 Points as Frosh Soph Squads Capture DFAL Meet Titles Laura DeCrescenzo (13) dominated the throws with season bests of 27-10.5 and 81-11 in shot put and discus in addition to winning the high jump and finishing fifth in the long jump. In all, the sophomore amassed 32 points to help her team hold off Miramonte and claim the DFAL championship meet title. The win completes a perfect season for the frosh soph girls. Meanwhile, Adam Hathaway (13), who ran all three distance events, earned individual crowns in the 1600m and 3200m while finishing runner up in the 800m with a new career best of 2:06.65. Tyler Wilson (14) exploded in the shot put to win the event with an improvement to 39-10.5. His 93-8 in discuss was also a huge personal best, outdone only by his teammate Wes Brumbaugh, who won the event with a toss of 101-5. Marcus Harland-Dunaway (14) won the 110 Hurdles, finished runner-up in the 300 Hurdles and triple jump, and was 4th in the high jump, accounting for 28 points. Along with an unexpected win for the boys' 400 Relay, a high jump title for Harrison Hughes (14), and a 400m victory for Ryan Hoffman (13), the Cougar boys outscored league leading Dougherty Valley to earn a share of the league title for 2011.
