Swanson Battles Back in Long Jump; Brumbaugh Flings Disc to League Win

After falling behind Miramonte's Devon McDonald with only one attempt remaining, Hadley Swanson (13) summoned the best effort of her career to retake the lead and earn the individual long jump title at Wednesday's DFAL varsity trials. The clutch performance added nearly two inches to her mark, which stands at 5th on the school record board.

For the boys squad, Griffin Brumbaugh (11) came through with a victory in the discus, while teammate Vance Prescott (11) improved his mark in the event to 126-2 for a third place finish.
