Ryles Wins Three, Mattioda Dominates Distances as Girls Finish Perfect Season

Hannah Mattioda (15) set career best marks in both the 1600m and 3200m while teammates Robin Powell (16) and Sarah Shipway (16) accounted for another 16 points in the distance events at Tuesday's DFAL Frosh Soph Championships.

The girls' squad claimed their 6th consecutive league title due in large part to Kate Ryles' (15) domination of the technical events. The stalwart sophomore finished first in the high jump, the triple jump and the 100 hurdles.

Sarah Cella (16) outran the rest of the field in the 800m, building her lead to over 10 seconds by the finish.

For the boys' team, Grant Chen (15) earned a runner-up finish in the shot put as well as a 4th place in discus.
