| DFAL Meet vs. Alhambra, Las Lomas RESULTS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE Boozarpour Cracks Five; Pappa Crushes 3200m Best in Cool, Rainy Conditions Omid Boozarpour (14) dropped under five minutes in the 1600m for the first time of his career in wet weather at Wednesday's DFAL meet vs. Alhambra and Las Lomas. Though tough conditions for sprinters and field athletes, they proved productive for the endurance runners. Also reaching a milestone in the four lap affair was Brighie Leach (15), who used an aggressive opening lap to gap the field and spark a 5:09.0 performance that moves her onto the All-Time Record board. The greatest improvement of the day came from Sean Pappa (15), who knocked over 40 seconds from his previous 3200m personal best. Surprisingly, Maddie Daum (15) managed to fling the discus over 90 feet for the first time, in spite of a slippery ring and slick grip. Jenny Toohey (16) put the shot over 27 feet to win the frosh soph girls' division. In the team scoring, the frosh soph and varsity girls maintained their perfect records. The frosh soph boys finished ahead of both opponents to move their season record to 3-1. While the varsity boys handled an undermanned Alhambra squad, they came up short against Las Lomas to split their results for a second consecutive week.
