Sun Paces Ruane to 10th All-Time 3200m, Iniguez-Reyes Leads PR Train

A small group of athletes traveled to Santa Rosa Jr College for the Twilight Invitational to wrap up spring break. Though conditions were wet, the meet still offered ample opportunity for personal bests. Cameron Iniguez-Reyes (19) led a parade of pr’s in the boys' 1600m by surging through the final 800m to run 4:50.59. In the same race Thibault Gourlin (18), Ethan Sauerberg (18), and Teddy Buckley (19) used similar tactics to improve there personal bests.

In the evening invitational section of the 3200m, Hannah Ruane (18) and Hana Sun (16) bolted to the lead, efficiently knocking off even splits as they came through the half way mark in 5:30. Sun maintained the pace, finishing in 11:00.31, less than a second off of her career best while Ruane held on to finish in 11:05.47 an 8 second improvement good enough for 10th all-time on the Campolindo record board.

Jonathan Semenza (16) also opened with an evenly paced first mile before blistering the final lap of his 3200 race to finish in 9:39.09, a 12 second improvement.
