Both athletes picked up new PR's in the event, with Hein holding off his teammate to win in 2:01.19. In the field newcomer Anna Stubbington (23) showed promise with a 74-foot discus toss, edging out senior veteran Lily Matranga (20) for top gun status as the squad tuned up for it's 1st DAL regular season meet against Northgate High School on Wednesday, March 11. The biggest improvement on the girls' side came from Jeanette Lavioe (22). The hard-working sophomore added a foot to her pole vault best, winning the event with a clearance of 7-6. Josh Myers (23) was the rookie boys' standout, providing a photo-finish win in the 100m and 16-foot measurement in the long jump. Meanwhile, in the longest event of the day, Rhys Pullen (22) rocketed up the depth chart with a 10:01.08 performance in the 3200m.
