Lavoie Vaults to All-Time List Appearance; Bullock Improves Long Jump vs. College Park, Northgate
With a clearance of 9 feet in the pole vault at Saturday's sprint/field meet vs. College Park and Northgate, Jeanette Lavoie (22) won the event and joined 14 previous Campolindo athletes on the all-time record list.
Moving up the all-time ranks, Mari Testa (23) won the 100 Hurdles in 16.93 and the 100m open race in 12.57.
Other notable improvements on the girls' squad came from Natalia Kalas (24), who lowered her 100m open time by nearly 1 second, and Charlotte Arnswald (23), who dropped under 19 seconds for the first time in the 100 hurdles.
In the long hurdle event, Camille Yabu (23) improved over 4 seconds to finish 3rd in 54.38.
In the boys' competition, Tyler Bullock (23) easily claimed the greatest gains of the week, extending his long jump mark by 1 foot and 7.5 inches. Oliver Flynn (21) picked up 2 improvements on the day, in the 100m and the pole vault.
