Records Fall at CIF Championship Trials

The Campolindo sprint squad wasted little time taking advantage of ideal conditions and the most talented field of athletes in the country at Friday evening's State Championship Trials at Buchanan High School in Clovis. The girls' 400 relay squad dropped another 4 tenths of a second from their school record time to land a surpirsing berth in Saturday's finals.

This was followed by another record update from Mari Testa (23), who finished her 100 hurdle race in 14.50 to earn the final qualifying spot out of the preliminary round. The wind-legal time is a 0.18 improvement.

Sara Tabibian (22) and Mason Fara (22) each posted their 2nd-best marks of their high school careers in the 400m, with the former cracking 58 seconds and later dipping under 49 seconds.

The spectacular day was closed out by Tibibian in her final 300 hurdle race, in which she ascended to the top of the school record board with a sub-45 second finish.
