Testa Leads Girls to Meet of Champions Title; Myers Makes State Meet in 100m

With NCS championship wins in the 100 hurdles, 100m, and 200m, Mari Testa (23) contributed 30 points toward Campolindo's team score as the Cougar girls' squad earned a 2nd-consecutive Meet of Champions team title at Dublin High School on Saturday, May 20.

The scoring actually began on Friday, May 19, as school record holder Pinkie Schnayer (24) claimed her 1st NCS individual crown in the girls' shot put competition, becoming the 1st Campolindo athlete of the weekend to earn advancement to the CIF State Championships.

On Saturday, Ellie Buckley (23) punched her own ticket to the state meet with a 3rd place finish in the 1600m followed by a 2nd place performance in the 3200m. It is the 1st appearance at the state championships by a Campolindo girls' distance runner in 8 years.

Josh Myers (23) surged to a 3rd-place finish in the boys' 100m finals to become the 4th and final advancer for the Cougars. Myer's time of 10.76 is a new personal best and improves his 2nd-all-time mark by 1 hundredth of a second.

All 4 athletes will now be traveling to Clovis to face off against the best athletes from across the state.
