Li Rises to 7th All-Time on Vault Record List while Parker Leaps 42 in Triple Jump

Cool temperatures under cloudy skies greeted competitors at Wednesday's DAL Dual competition with Clayton Valley in Bob Wilson Stadium. While ideal for distance events, the conditions proved advantageous for jumpers, as Malik Li (26) cleared 13-11 in the pole vault to claim the 7th-best mark in school history.

In the triple jump, lone Cougar representative Sean Parker (26) also moved up the record list with a 42-foot leap to claim victory.

Newcomers making a mark including Sophia Moore (28), who won the frosh-soph 100m race as well as the pole vault, and Emma Stimmler (28), who cleared 4-8 in the high jump before rocketing to a 51-second win in the 300 hurdles.

The top PRs of the day were turned in by throwers once again: Sean Hu (26) added over 13 feet to his discus mark with a toss over 89 feet while Ciel Speckman (27) improved by over 17 feet in the same event.
