4x100 Relay Breaks 48 Seconds at Final Dual Meet; De La Cruz Drops 800 Bomb

It didn't take long for the final dual meet of the season to become memorable as the girls' varsity 4x100 relay squad, under instructions to run "relaxed" opened the meeet with the 1st-ever sub-48-second clocking for Campolindo. The 47.99 finishing time surpasses the previous school record set in 2022 by 5 one-hundredths of a second.

This feat was followed up by a 5-flat finish for Claire Andrzejek (26) in the 1600m event, as she battled to victory over Las Lomas' sophomore star Ella Malick. The mark moves Andrzejek to 8th on the all-time list.

Perhaps the biggest surprise was the sling-shot win for Cody De La Cruz (26) in the 800m race, as the senior bested teammnate Caden Ehrhorn (28) over the final 200 meters to claim the #2 position on the school record board. His 1:54.46 is just 2-tenths off a record that has stood since 1969.

Also moving up the record board was Sean Parker (26), who added a couple of inches to his triple jump mark to to move within 3 inches of the NCS leader.
