Mania 3200m Invite Features Stadium Record; 8 Cougar Boys Run Sub-10:00 The 2024 edition of the Mid-Season Mania 3200m Invitational hosted in Bob Wilson Stadium at Campolindo enjoyed the fastest times in meet and stadium history, including an 8 minute and 58.99 second stadium record from Dougherty Valley's Arrin Sagiraju (25), who battled fellow California top talent Miles Cook (25) of Sacred Heart Cathedral and Benjamin Bouie (25) of Crystal Springs Uplands over 8 laps in an epic race. Cook finished in 9:00.38 while Bouie was a step behind in 9:03.94. Also in the fastest heat of the evening was Campolindo freshman Caden Ehrhorn (28), who held on to the chase pack to finish in 9:21.10. He was followed by sophomore teammate Gavin Gunn (27), who set a massive personal best of 9:24.82. In all, the Cougars had 8 boys break the 10-minute barrier, including 3 more sophomores and 3 seniors. Neela Whatley (28) topped the Cougar girls with a 10:47.64 clocking that ranks 7th in school history. Kiona McCasland (27) was next best with an improvement to 11:07.75. Most improved over last year's results were Mai Lam Nguyen (27), who dropped her mark by 1 minute and 22 seconds, and Taejin Chung (26), who was 1 minute and 36 seconds faster.
