Practice Meet RESULTS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE Practice Meet Sizzles with High Temps The Cougars posted just 1 improvement in the girls' competition at the annual practice meet against Alhambra and College Park at Hidden Valley Park on Friday. While temperatures remained in the high 80s during the 2nd race of the afternoon, Rouyan Lechner (27) dropped over 2 minutes from her summer time trial mark. Her time of 15:27 was good enough for 3rd place. Jack Durden (27) led a trio of veterans to improvements over last year's results. The sophomore finished 20 seconds ahead of his freshman debut mark to place 9th. Nolan Knightly (27) and Cody De La Cruz (26) also bettered their 2023 practice meet performances. The biggest gains were made by the newest members of the team, with Cole Kosak (28) and Ethan Dong (28) each nearly matching Lechner's 2-minue improvement. Finishing at 14:52 in the summer time trial, Kosak crossed the line on Friday in 13:12 to be the Cougars' 2nd-fastest freshman. The Cougars' top guns in each division were underclassmen, with Caden Ehrhorn (28) finishing 2nd in the boys' race while Kaitlyn Kinsey (27) won the girls' race.
