Ehrhorn, McCasland Top Teammates at Event Testing; Riley Nearly Pulls Upset
Freshman Thomas Riley (29) nearly pulled off an improbable upset over his veteran elders at the 2026 edition of Campolindo Track & Field's annual event testing. Through 4 disciplines, including a 300m sprint, long jump, shot put, and 1200m run, the rookie managed to outperform all but one of his teammates. Only returning favorite Caden Ehrhorn (28), himself just a wee sophomore, earned a lower score in the "lowest score wins" event.
Following Riley in the rookie boys' division was sophomore Chase Nickens (28) and freshman Jayden Albiento (29). The next best overall performances in the veteran boys' division were turned in by Cody De La Cruz (26) and Rorey Freer (28).
The girls' competition was predictably led by junior Jasmine McCasland (27), who, in spite of being bested in the 300m sprint by 3rd-place finisher Sophia Moore (28), used an outstanding long jump mark and a gutsy performance in the 1200m run to easily outdistance runner up Emma Stimmler (28).
Freshman Ilinca Galatanu (29) showed impressive range to win the rookie girls' division over Addy Travis (29) and Alaina Lawrence (29).
